I had a theory that there would be some good deals on eBay before Christmas because many people are focusing on gift buying and not on buying things for themselves. While I had mixed luck overall, the following lot was one that I scored big on. If the seller hadn't charged $8 for shipping (and then paid $2 to ship it), I would have really done well. But in any case I got these for a total of $23 shipped, which is below the silver value, plus these all sell for more than melt. The seller had a really high shipping charge so I think that kept bidders away, but once I won the first item I knew they would combine shipping so I bid on everything else and paid hardly anything for most of them. Here's what I got: Mexico: 1924 1 peso 1920 50 centavos 1943 50 centavos 1944 50 centavos 1945 50 centavos 1921 20 centavos 1925 20 centavos Britain 1942 1 florin Hong Kong 1904 1 cent (the only one that isn't silver)
