1999 States Quarter DDO?

    It appears to be machine doubling.........flat and shelf-like.

    yes machine doubling.. not a DDO its die deterioration that causes this ususallly

    Are You guys sure? look at the T's in STATES that appears to
    be shelf like to me those T's are way too thick to be MD.
    I see some die deterioration but MD not to sure about that
    those T's are shelf like and too thick to be MD.

    Looks like DDD...die deterioration doubling.

    Keep up the hunt!

    I dont think so non_cents look at the T's in STATES thats not die deterioration doubling
    or MD they are to shelf like for it to be either. non_cents look at those T's again.
    if nothing else those T's show doubling.

    The T doesn't really show any evidence of being a doubled die. No notching, not fully formed, etc. Coupled together with the apparent die deterioration on the other letters, I would say that die deterioration can be applied to the appearance of the T's in STATES as well.
