Hi everyone. I want to list my gold sovereign on ebay and i was wondering the grading i should list it as. This shot is of it very close and not cleaned/polished for at least 40 years. Also i need advice on how to clean it. Iv seen on ebay coins the same as mine selling for 300 pounds plus. All help will be greatly appreciated.

Dont clean it dont even breath on it LOL if you clean it you loose value and it would only be worth bullion value. dont clean any coins at all.

Dudlite, your Sovereign is very worn,so it is really worth bullion value.I have checked the ground line to see if there was any sign of a mintmark, but there is none, which indicates that it is a British one.If it has the letters 'M','P',or 'S',then it isn't British, but Australian.

    Remember, don't clean it!
    Also, the reserve seems high.
    Aiden: What do you think?

Dudlight,it is best to put your starting price at 90 Pounds Sterling & your reserve at 100 Quid.

In that condition you might just hit the £100 mark if you are lucky, personaly I would not go higher than £90.

Ps there again if you manage to attract 2 bidders who realy want it who knows auctions can be very funny things LOL
