If a seller has "no returns accepted", but guarantees that is it not a counterfeit, then they would have to allow returns, right?

Would eBay make them pay return shipping, too? Are there other things to consider?

On Ebay, there is no such thing as no returns

Quite right. I bought something that had to be returned even though the seller said "no returns." I asked him politely at first, and when he refused, I simply told him I would open a complaint with eBay and Paypal, then report him to the police for fraud. He took the return.

as long as you can prove item is not as described ebay will force them to take the item back. i no longer sell on ebay because of this. to many people taking advantage of ebay's buyer protection. you will probably have to pay return shipping

You don't even have to particularly have a reason. You can return anything off of ebay so long as it's within a certain time frame.

I once bought a 1912-S Liberty V nickel that turned out to be counterfeit, I contacted eBay, they opened a case refunded me my money and told me I didn't need to return the coin.

As Bkozack33 said, you can return ANYTHING on eBay regardless if it says no return policy or not.

eBay sellers can say NO RETURNS all they want.

The fact is, eBay's and PayPal's buyer protection allows for returns regardless of the seller saying they accept none.

LoL. I am not sure US law allows intentionally shipping a counterfeit coin to anyone.

If you return any item purchased through eBay the most you'll get back is the original purchase price plus the original shipping cost that's eBay's policy. You will not get back the cost to return the item. When returning anything to an eBay seller be sure you send it with tracking so you won't have any problems with the seller stating it wasn't returned.

Actually, it's better to require a signature when making a return. The only thing tracking does, and say where it is in transit, and that it was delivered. That's not a guarantee it was delivered to the correct address, nor will it stop the seller from claiming it was stolen, or was delivered to the wrong address.

With a signature requirement, the seller can't make those claims.

You DON'T have to return a counterfeit coin; file a SNAD in the resolution center, you'll get your money back and get to keep the coin. EBay does not require the return of counterfeit items.

as long as you have tracking on the package as soon as it shows up in the system as the item being delivered ebay automatically refunds the money back to the buyer. i had this happen to me. ebay had told me i had 72 hours but that was not true.
