I definitely see that extra curl. I think it nice and placed perfectly in the right spot. Nice piece to have in a collection.

I don't know. But I wouldn't mind having it in my collection. It's eye candy above with that tiny little curl. ;)

    Monica,

For me, your additional photo still makes it difficult to determine what the mark represents. The mark you've circled just looks like a "white blur". When posting photos of errors and/or varieties, it is necessary for the collector to have decent photographic equipment (not necessarily the best). When taking close-ups, you need a tripod or copy stand to get the sharpest images. Some people use cameras with specialized lenses for the close-ups while others opt for stereo or digital microscopes. These options provide higher quality photos, but taking any photos without at least a tripod often makes it impossible to create any enlargement without extensive blurring.

Hang in there and welcome to the neighborhood.

    Chris

Monica , 1st get a copy stand , they aren't very expensive maybe 14 bucks and will help a lot . Actually if you have Macro you can take some great pics with practice , I've seen excellent pics with a Coolpix . The lighting is most important almost as much as the camera . The macro feature is the most important , it's the little flower icon on the camera .

Unless you plan to photograph many coins, want the ability to do highly detailed macro work, or simply want a new toy, with a little work your present camera may be more than sufficient for basic imaging purposes. I do not mean this to sound critical or offensive, but more often than not, poor photos are the results of the person taking them and not because of the camera itself. If you're unsure of your present cameras capabilities and limitations, please consider spending the time to familiarize yourself. There is much photo-related info available online, and this includes a number of past threads here that may be of help to you. Good luck and welcome to the forum.
