Just curious what you guys think about this coin's reverse...Type B or no? (seller's pics)

    Thanks!

I am just starting to study these types, but isn't one attribut the pointed leaf ending above the arrow tips? If so I would say yes.

Yes, and the leaf touching the A of DOLLAR, and the distance between E and S of STATES should be greater than the normal coin...I just can't seem to make up my mind on this one from the photo. Normally I'm a bit more decisive...oh well. I'll have to decide when it gets here... :)

I believe it is. I've been slowly trying to build a collection of these as well, and if I saw this I would have bought it thinking it was.

Don't forget the M "brackets" the "IB" completely. Normal rev the M is slightly off-center from those two letters.

That's good info to know - I hadn't heard that one. I was giving that photo a comparison look to see if there was something else like that I could see, instead of the stuff I couldn't...

I'm hopeful that it is. What would you think an MS67 CAC 1957 would run these days? (Looks like the PCGS price guide says $350...in which case I am a very happy camper if this turns out to be a Type B.)

All depends on the actual coin... is it toned? You'll get a higher premium on that if it's nice. I'd say you've got at least $300+ going for you, probably more given that it's a 67. More pics when you have them please... :)

Looks like a type B to me.

Here is the obverse (seller's pic.) The verification pics are literally so dark you can't see a thing...

I joined the Type B Quarter website and posted this photo on their forum. I've had two responses so far, including the owner of the site...both say it is indeed a Type B. I'm feeling much more confident about this now! Can't wait to get it in hand and take some really good photos with LIGHT...

Prime Mover - yes, it's toned. Here is the seller's obverse photo:

When I get it in hand and photographed, I should post it in the "I gambled on eBay and won" thread...

FWIW, this coin is in an unattributed NGC MS67 CAC holder.

Indeed, should certainly post it in there... looks like a nice coin with really bad pics.

Also if you didn't know, one other indicator is the right wing (the bird's actual left wing), the bottom of it comes down into a sharp point. On business strikes the wing tip is more rounded. It's a little harder to see, especially with bad pics, but it's there.

    It's a great find, congratulations!

Thanks! Actually...it will be a double celebration, as the seller had another one with a pricing error that I saw, asked about, and got for less than this one. No CAC sticker, but still NGC 67. Was priced at over $500...maybe that's why it didn't sell. That, and the dark pics.
