My favourite seller had these two Alexandrian TETs ... I resisted for a while, but finally folded this morning and pulled the ol' trigger!! (I scored both coins (delivered) for $100 Canadian ... I know some of you will declare that I paid too much, but I thought that sounded reasonable enough?)

... anyway ... I am certainly happy, for I absolutely love the TETs from Alexandria!! (they've got a certain look about them that I find very alluring!!)

Got set up to take pictures of all the A-tets. Old camera not working. It appears to function correctly but all I'm getting are blank white pictures.

Got the new camera body to see if it magically fixed itself (long story-- a defective sensor or something and no, I haven't returned it yet... have been too disgusted to deal with it). Battery low. Put it in the charger, which appears to be working. Battery dead dead dead. Or charger not working. Who knows.

    Bah.

This is typical of the month I'm having. Would like to just go to bed and wake up next year.

Gallienus looks downright handsome on this coin, not his usual squirrelly portrait.

Carnival in Rio? It's possible, but I haven't been there in 15 years. Is it me, or do all the Brazilians look like Dennis Rodman??
