I see we have reached 10,000 posts. An awful lot of beautiful coins have passed through for the enjoyment of their owners and their admirers.
I love large cents. I have an 1854 that is lightly circulated and it is a highlight of my collection.
This was a gift sent to me, my step son is half way through Air Force basic training at Lackland AFB in San Antonio. Mom, brother and sis got t-shirts, I got the coin. We're all proud of Thomas, he's started on his great adventure, and serving his county...
Just started getting back into the hobby and won these auctions on ebay (obviously don't have them in hand yet so showing the ebay pics). I think the prices I paid weren't too bad either 1916 Merc Dime - not sure about the VF tag, but looks decent to me http://tinyurl.com/n9oxxsw 1909 VDB Wheatie - happy with the price on this one and not too shabby looking http://tinyurl.com/qxqvwhg 1850 Large Cent - My first large cent, and another price I'm ok with, I'm hoping it looks a little better in person since the pics are blurry, and that the damage on the rim isn't too bad. http://tinyurl.com/l5ks96r Also picked up 1938-D and 1929 Buffalo Nickels in VG-F and F-VF respectivley for only a couple bucks. Just wanted to pick up a few random coins to get something going in the new collection, probably will grab a few more random ones that catch my eye and then dive in on filling my cent folders.
Mine too and out of boredom and coin buying withdrawal I just got on ha and picked up a couple more Morgan's nothing rare but high grade appealing coins including a old green label ms65 that I think is undergraded and I don't say that often about Morgan dollars
My apologies, I misread your post about HA. Long week and weekend... what can I say! Coincidentally, just returned back from a trip to Falmouth. Be well! -L
