Hello guys. I am new to this forum. I have here an 1804 coin that appears to have been struck from an unidentified coin on the obverse side. The reverse seems to be ok, if not for the crack between 7 & 8 clouds. The obverse shows an obscure silhouetted image in front of the face and an image that looks like a flag just above the head. Is it possible to identify from which coin this was struck ? the coin is about 38mm diameter.

Sorry, but it's just an all-too-common knockoff.

Regardless of it being fake, I believe what you are describing are likely clash marks, which are relatively common on low-end modern counterfeits. I assume that you hoped the coin to be real, and while surely a let down, you're clearly making an effort to learn and this should be commended. If you have a genuine interest in coins or their history, brush this aside, consider it a lesson, and move forward. Welcome to the forum.
