Let's hope so.... anyone who pays more than a few dollars over face for a new (graded) $100 note has more money than brains.
Tim, before you buy a $100 note, you should square up with PayPal and anyone else you are indebted to.
what seems to me the going rate for new $100 dollar bills is $20 dollars over face. I am not sure what grading fees are for currency $30-40 ? so if you factor that in it will come to about $150-170. yes they are cool but no way would I pay that. they are to new to pay that.
It's only worth sending non-stars for grading if you think they will come back 68 or greater. Star notes, perhaps 67. Otherwise the grading fees will outweigh any premiums you might make, especially after eBay and PayPal fees that exceed 12%. But it's hard to predict whether a note might come back 66 or 68. I wouldn't gamble and send it in, unless it's a low serial/ladder/radar or error note and exceptionally high eye-ball grade.
