Hello, first of all I'm new hear and would like to say hello and header says 1983-P buts its 1983-D. I have an 1983-D Washington Quarter in all accounts to me looks to be a sintered annealing error. Looks like the coin spent a loy of time in annealing drum mostly obverse however, I am not an expert and thought perhaps someone in this forum might have thoughts as to what this error may be. I have csan but not sure of size I hope it makes it. Thank you

    First: Welcome.
Second: My guess is post mint error, looks somewhat liek a metal detecting coin, in the ground with a LOT of fertilizer.
    Is the reverse the same?

This is not a mint error. The surface was corroded by contact with a caustic chemical.
