Hello, first of all I'm new hear and would like to say hello and header says 1983-P buts its 1983-D. I have an 1983-D Washington Quarter in all accounts to me looks to be a sintered annealing error. Looks like the coin spent a loy of time in annealing drum mostly obverse however, I am not an expert and thought perhaps someone in this forum might have thoughts as to what this error may be. I have csan but not sure of size I hope it makes it. Thank you
yeoldstore: First: Welcome. Second: My guess is post mint error, looks somewhat liek a metal detecting coin, in the ground with a LOT of fertilizer. Is the reverse the same?
Update..I have coin in fron of me I'll explain. Obverse is as pictures shows. The reverse shows much of same but not as much. Coin has appearence of extra metal like cuds..can't be sure. Reed is there does not appear to accected.
