Going through some world coins I have. found this one, I have some mixed information on values of the coin and such. I also have a 25 PTAS of the same dates in the same condition. Any information is greatly appreciated! (Fingerprints are on the coin flip)
Agree with jensenbay; those pesetas are usually listed as Spain 1957 (73), my world book mentions they were only issued as proofs that year
The 50 Peseta coins were made in proof from 1968 to 1975. Here is the 2009 catalog data for your coin dated 1973. Sorry, I do not have the 2013 catalog with me today. Date 1957 (73) Proof Condition only Mintage: 28,000 2009 Catalog Value: 60.00
Same price in the 2013 Krause. I would think this low-mintage coin would have at least a chance for higher catalog values over the years, especially since the Pesetas have been replaced by Euros.
I'd be shocked if you'd get anything like that amount for it. I know from experience that modern Spanish coins have very little interest on eBay.
