Die Crack or Scratch? Half Dime

    I can't tell, looks like a scratch but the wing looks like it's separated.

    Looks like a scratch to me. With the amount of wear that this coin has, a heavy die crack would have worn down a little too. Looks like the scratch came after being well circulated too. Just my opinion though.

    Looks more like a cut than a scratch if it was a die crack it would be raised not recessed

    I'm with the scratch group . Die cracks are always raised like Mainebill and RedRaider said .

    I also in the scratch group, there's a couple of things that make me think this, one it looks to be recessed, like some have said, plus I don't think there's any way a die crack like that could go undocumented. It's too bad, it looks to be an otherwise nice coin, have you attributed it?

    No just a coin I seen online and couldn't decide for myself if it was a scratch as I thought or a dis scratch or as others have mentioned, cut.

    It really was a nice coin so I washoping it was just a crack.
