The Light Rail ticket machines in Sacramento take the coins, and they give them in change too. If I put in a $5 bill I get Native American or Presidential dollar coins back in change.
Please no. The kids at the register have enough problems giving back the right change as it is........
That's for sure. If the register doesn't tell them how much the change is they're lost. They don't know how to make change. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
In addition to not knowing how to make change, they don't even know some of the denominations from the past, i.e. half dollars, Ike dollars, SBAs, and some are still not sure about the Sacs and POTUS dollars. They only know of pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters, plus the denomination notes, except the clerk at the grocery store the other day was questioning the new $100 bill. She thought I printed it from the internet
FWIW, today's cash purchases have included a new $100 bill, a $2 bill, a Sac dollar, and a Kennedy half. Somewhat surprisingly--only the new $100 got noticed.
Because not many people are aware, even though it was on CNN and other national news agencies, the design for the $100 was changed recently.
i tried to pay for my coffee with a 50 and the girl at the register didnt know that there was such thing as a $50 bill.
I doubt this would work..... but to make both sides happy ...maybe when dollars are ordered for a bank the Fed could alternate between the two.... you get what you get motto
