    It's a 1922 model. It's beautiful.

    This a first? :)

I remember the first one I purchased. The De Francisi design got a hold of me in the worst way. That beautiful lady(Liberty) with her radiant tiara looked so regal to a young boy. And the eagle on the reverse.......so stately, so stoic........

Peace dollars are my favorite! Not your first :)

Out of curiosity, what are the red tints on the obverse? Photo relic or on the dollar itself?

    Nice first Peace!

Nice. Just curious, what are you using for your back drop. Looks like a granite countertop.

This is "my" first peace dollar. There is a 1928 in the collection that I am inheriting but it's not technically mine yet. I take photos on the counter at work. I assume it's some sort of plastic. The red tint was caused by the camera.

Just a suggestion. Place something soft under the coin. Even a napkin would be better than the hard plastic counter-top. I speak from experience. I have shed more than one tear over scratching a coin accidentally.:)

It's currently in a cardboard holder and it will be going into a plastic holder. I was very careful placing the dollar on the surface that I wiped down beforehand.
