well if you think its an error and worth something, find someone with a belt sander an make a bunch more.....just because you found it in a bank roll doesnt make it an error.

Appears that the reverse was ground off...I don't think it's a mint error.

Since the obverse and reverse dies hit at same time, that is not possible. It would be like clapping with 1 hand. The planchette ( blank) that the dies strike does not have the striations seen above. It has been ground off. Common for some reason.

You would need to pay extra fees to submit it to a TPG, and they will likely say the same thing that people have said in this thread. Save yourself the slabbing fees and keep this coin as an example of Post Mint Damage.

Sure. With 2 way shipping and fees it'll be about $55-$65.

misprint? dont think ive heard of that, weigh your coin, should be 5 grams..

Unless it has been ground off Post-Mint, in which case it would weigh less...

    dsmith23 Gotta get 'em all

We do know, there is no possible way for that to have happened at the mint 0% chance.

It's called PMD, Post Mint Damage.

Someone outside the Mint, ground the obverse down. Weigh it, it will come in under-weight.

    No error=$.05, or face value.
