I Just purchased a roll of BU 1943 Steel Pennies and noticed a What I believe to be a die Crack on Half the roll All have the same signature here is a enlarged Pic any help Thanks
That is a die crack. When you have original source BU rolls, it's not uncommon for the entire roll to be comprised of coins from only a handful of die pairings. I think my record was something like 43 coins from a roll that were all struck by the same die pair. When you find a valuable variety, that's when this fact really pays off and you pull multiples of the same variety.
Thanks for the info the pennies are all Choice Bu And just Wondered if anyone else has come across any just wonder what their value may be Have just recently become deeply interested in Lincolns and am a NEWBEE
