While researching some Chinese websites I came across an article on coin sculptures.

Robert Wechsler was commissioned to create these geometric coin sculptures for the October 14, 2013 issue of "The New Yorker".

His sculptures utilize coins from different countries and may be viewed at this English language website. You can click to enlarge the images.

What would you use to cut through a dime like that? Some industrial-strength bandsaw?

I have a pair of Cutco scissors that could cut those like that. I have cut a penny in half with them.
