Two other sites I have purchased from are bidstart and Webstore. The problem is there are far fewer buyers on there. Your sales will likely be few and far between, but they are free.

Much of your experience will also depend upon what you have to sell, but with a very basic question like the yours I would imagine ebay is the place to sell.

Might try EBid.net. I sell there. It doesn't have the traffic of the bay, but I like it.

    Your local craigslist.com.

I've used ebid.net in the past before, and like you said there's not as much traffic, but the fees are awesome and I have sold a few things with them before. I'd recommend them as well

Ditto here, I sell on eBid. It's slow but cheap. Have to accept PayPal or you will sell nothing at all, but at least it's your choice to make on accepting it. Can sell for cash only if you want, of course no one will buy, but entirely up to you. Especially if you have less valuable coins (which none of the auction houses are interested in), eBid is an attractive alternative to eBay. On the plus side, at least my own experience bares this out, --there is a much higher incidence of buyers buying multiple items from you on eBid than on eBay. So, if you have your collection nicely organized with many pieces related, very good chance you can unload a bunch of them in a single sale to the same buyer.

    definer definitely....! LOL

You might also post the coins here. I've bought and sold a number of coins here and I believe I've done better here than anywhere else.

If not interested in auction format sales, try creating an eCrater account and then promoting it on forums and such.

Good advice. I list items on eBid, and if it's something nice post the link to the auction here as well.
