    It looks to me like there was a chip on the die or maybe something in the die itself. Neat to won, but in this condition, I wouldn't expect a premium.

    It's a die clash. Pretty common in that area.

    What would the difference between this and "struck through grease" be?

    imo...the example shown is 'above' the surface of the cent, I think press through greese examples would have 'void' of material--but I am a mere student,
