A 1792 half disme. It's not really a coin; it's a pattern. But I could ignore that if I could get one
Hopefully someday is the small eagle half and a 94 flowing hair right now I'm really hoping to get a decent chain cent I'd take a good solid problem free g- vg I'd take minor enviro damage too but no major problems
Very true I consider that and the no stars dime and half dime the pinnacle of the seated liberty design their beautiful and the Gobrecht dollar has a great reverse too
Ken me thinks you've recentlly seen Ted and Bills Most Excellent Adventure , which is most excellent .
Yes, a better question. I need 9 coins from the 1790's to complete my NGC type set. Under my current financial conditions I feel 4 are achievable if I limit myself to Fine. They are from lowest price to highest: -- 1795-98 Draped Bust/Small Eagle dollar -- 1797 Draped Bust/Small Eagle dime -- 1793 Flowing Hair/Wreath cent -- 1793 Liberty Cap/Head Left half cent I might be able to get one every year or two. As for the other 5, "Come on lottery!!!"
Morgandude, I absolutely LOVE the high relief! For purely aesthetic reasons I still have to go with the Pan Pac though! I was extremely fortunate to handle one last month! It's one of those coins I wished I could pry out of the slab to really appreciate ... (yes I take crappy cell phone pics of just about every cool coin that crosses my path! )
Sometimes an achievable Holy Grail is just a dream. I've been trying for ten years to find a Vietnam Blackhorse token-11th Armored Cavalry Regiment. They catalog for $8. But I have never seen one.
I would LOVE to own that coin--a little out of my financial league at this moment. May pick up a later date (1908 or 1909 MS one) just to own a beauty like that. The '07 high reliefs are absolute killer!!!
