I got another IHC for my set today; only 4 left to go. Anyway, it had a small round B&W sticker on it with the head of an eagle and the words "Eagle Eye Photo Seal". I think (?) I've seen one before. What's it mean? Anyone know? Picture of the coin later.
Ah ha! Thanks for the link. If I understood the site correctly it's basically Rick Snow's version of a "green bean". Works for me.
I would have thought you to be on the inside track with that one Kanga, since I know that you do so much business with these fellows.......
Actually I've never met him although I certainly know who he is. And I've got his IHC guide. In fact he didn't have a picture of one of the varieties he listed -- but he does now Anyway, I've never done business with him. All my IHC's have come from Angel Dee's (Andy and Alynne Skrabalak).
all Eagle Eye Photo Seals come with a laminated picture of the coin in the holder, did you get that with the coin?
I'd rather have the Eagle eye sticker on any cent than a green bean . As stated Rick Snow is the top dealer of IHCs . Just ask Charmy , and look at her thread . She has a few Eagle eye coins and you can see the quality .
I had a quick chat with Charmy at the Balto Whitman show. I knew she had found an IHC die variety which Rick included in his guide. Turns out she has 3-4 more.
I'd see it the other way round, the Green bean is CAC's version of Rick Snow's PhotoSeal since Rick's version came first by several years.
