    Hello!

Recently I buy a small collection of u.s. coins and medalls, and I need helps for identification and a relativ evaluation for one of this.
    Coins:
    1. One dollar silver coins AV:" LIBERTY" and "IN GOD WE TRUST"- in the field, year: 1816 ?!?!?!?! RV: "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. 1oz fine silver one dollar."

    Thanks

A silver round is like a silver bullion bar, except it's round. They often include designs from real coins on one side.

I saw the pic you posted, and I'm not sure what it is.

It appears to me that it is a counterfeit "Fantasy" American Silver Eagle since the appearance is very mushy!

    Corbel,

If you purchased the "Fantasy" American Silver Eagle from this Gypsy Jeweler, then beware that this Silver (if it is in fact Silver) piece is not real and he/she may be selling you a load of counterfeited (not real or not authentic) coins, medals, Silver Eagles and Silver Rounds.

Many of the Countefeits are produced in China...especially in Shanghai which is well know for the counterfeiting that has been going on there for probably hundreds of years! There are many other areas of the world where counterfeits are produced as well.

How do you know that the "Fantasy" American Silver Eagle is made of Silver? Real American Silver Eagles are .9999 Fine Silver! The piece that you have may contain Silver but probably contains far, far less than true American Silver Eagles.

    Vadeidel,welcome aboard.They're definitely medals,I'm afraid.They're an interesting series of American satire-related medals,nonetheless.

They look like tokens. Maybe promotional items made for American designer Bill Blass?
