Well done I say. I don't think cork is something that reacts well to silver so that's also a good choice of material
My question is what was in the bottle that the cork came from? Cork absorbs moisture and there could possibly be potentially damaging residue in the cork. Probably not a problem if the cork slice is from the outside end of the cork.
