hello guys and girls im very new to the whole coin error thing, i usually just search for coins that have silver content in them but if i see coins that are possible errors i just throw them in a jar i looked all over online and could not find something that looked like this, i would normally think the coin had a hard life and got a big nick in it but the nick just seems to clean also the side of the coin looks like it is there but almost seems like it got melted or something, do i have anything rare or should i just throw this in my rainy day fund, thank you for your time
Welcome to CT. Your coin was damaged AFTER leaving the mint. Keep up the hunt. BTW, hold your coins by the edge. Don't let your skin touch the faces of your coins.
thank you both for responding and helping me, i fiqured it was worth a try... oh well, next time i find a coin i suspect that has a error i will be sure to use gloves next time!
