Im not an expert with these half-dollars, but my true opinion is that if this coin is not doctored (cleaned,whizzed etc) and I dont think it is, It appears to be hugh AU or UNC and is worth for sure a good amount over melt. That amount I don't know, Hopefully an expert can chime in.
It's a Walking Liberty half, one of the if not the most beautiful coins ever. It's a work of art. It's worth more than melt. I gave $15 for a 1945-P that isn't quite as nice as yours and I'm thrilled with it just because it's so pretty.
