I'll say large date as well but the upper loop of the 9 makes it look like a small date.
Interesting coin.

 

The loop is what made me wonder, but it is a large I am pretty sure. I have a small somewhere when I come across it I will have that "duh" moment, lol.

 

It is definitely large.
