    It is a coin damaged after it was minted. Worth 1 cent.

    Looks like someone took a dremel to this baby... it's fun to mess with coins! It doesn't increase the value unless you decide to sell it on eBay along with the thousands of other non-errors.

    I pulled about 500 similar coins from a single box last week. ugh.

    Yup! Amazingly enough, they all went through the coin counter yesterday :). I thought I was going to be stuck with them.
