2 Boxes of halves today - 3 - 40% halves. One 1981 S, One 1986 Statue of Liberty commemorative, one Mexican Diez Pesos, ~$15 in NIFC post 2002.

8 Boxes of cents. Another crappy week:

1 box of soild 2013P
Wheats - 57 - Only 2 30's and 1 20's.

Errors/Varieties/etc - 1998 WAM(15th), 2000 WAM(28th), 5 1960D small dates, 1976 "Liberty Bell" counter stamp.

Foreign - 35 Canadian(incl 1940), 1 Euro 2c, and 1 Barbados 1c.

 

$100 in nickels this afternoon:

1 war - 1943S
1 Proof - 1976S
1 Canadian 5c
12 pre-60 kepers.

 

2 ikes and 4 halves from the teller tray, nothing special. i wont be able to get those halves they're saving for me until tommorow.

 

That 55 S cent is beautiful!!!!!

I got another box of halves from the same bank hoping for a spillover........skunk. It was worth a shot.

Why is '60 the accepted cutoff date for nickels? 1960 has been the newest year that I collected nickels, and I decided it on my own.

 

$1000 Bag of Dimes:

40 Pennies including a 1955D Wheat

2 Austrailian 1-Cent Coins (1966, 1979)

1987D Roosevelt (with Damage)...reminds me of what happened to Gus Fring on Breaking Bad!

I always get excited when I order boxes of halves and it's pick up day (today), but then I call to see if they are in and they tell me they forgot to order them. Talk about a huge let down.

 

Today is not my day. Since my halves weren't ordered, I went to a different bank after to work and asked for a box of quarters and a box of dimes. The teller said sure and went to they vault to get them. She was literally in there for 10 minutes and then came out and said she couldn't give me any, but they could order me some for next week if I wanted.

 

Nice day yesterday...1 1964 Kennedy, 9 40%ers, and a 1942 walking liberty half plus one war nickel.

I am at 945 silver american coins for the year (plus about a dozen foreign silver coins). Not as much silver this year as last because I spent a LOT of time collecting dimes instead of halves: I have found 325 silver American dimes so far. That's six and a half rolls of silver dimes!

I have also found 26 silver quarters: that's not easy! Especially because I did not get them all at once. I only found about 4 all last year.

77 war nickels leaves me only three short of finding 2 rolls in one year.

If I had looked only for half dollars, I would have found more silver by weight, but I am happy to have some of everything! I MIGHT still make 1000 silver coins, despite not looking at all for three months.

My big surprise should be coming back from ANACS soon...it is being certified...wish me luck! I hope it is not a counterfeit...

 

Halfway through a box of pennies-a huge letdown, only 3 wheat pennies.
BUT there was a 2009 p presidency penny that I have been looking for for about two years. I FINISHED MY 1965-2013 PENNY COLLECTION!!! (fireworks go off )
