This is my first post on this website and I am new to coin collecting - I'm just a young guy and looking for a bit of guidance ! Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to read my thread. So I picked up this coin off of ebay for a good price a little while ago. They did not specify any sort of error, but after I had a look at the coin I thought that I might had found one - or perhaps I am just completely wrong and it is just a result of wear. What I am thinking is that there is some sort of die error on the "1" in the date (1894). If anyone has any explanation or thoughts please post !! Thank you all & sorry if the pictures aren't that great. Let me know if so, and I will try to take some better ones.
Appears to be post mint damage. Hard to tell from photo. Thy taking with camera on macro, without the loupe, and upload "full" image, not thumbnail. Nice coin. Tip, always show both side of any coin you upload. Welcome to the site.
This one is bothering me i would like to say post mint damage but i am not sure i would need better images of it try in different lighting also if you have a GS4 or iphone you should actually be able to get nice images of it at least good enough for me to be able to help you out !!
