What would you say this Domitian Denarius with Minerva & little owl is worth? It is a common coin in relatively uncommon condition in an NGC Ch XF holder. I can say that it is attractive in hand & it is an XF. I will probably have an opportunity to buy it (in person) this next Sunday. What might be a fair price to offer?

I bought this similar coin for $46 shipped back in Dec last year:

There is a difference in the reverse legend so check ACsearch for recent sales

If I had to guess I'd say $80-$140

Thanks for the educated guess. This is apparently in-line with my uneducated guess. I was thinking that $150 would be fair to give the dealer some room for profit and of course, the coin is in a holder. It is a shame that it is in the NGC holder because if I own the coin, then the holder is history.

(IMO it is basically a $100+ coin and another example could be found. It is really not a "must have" coin for me so perhaps I'll save the funds for something that speaks more loudly to me).

I didn't factor in the slab price on my guess, although since it is a hindrance for us, it should be cheaper :D
