I was watching a great big pile of barber dimes on ebay this morning and ended up not picking up a single stinking one. Mostly because a few people got bidding fever and the dimes went crazy high. So feeling perturbed about the whole thing, I threw on my shoes and headed out to the local coin shops to see if there was anything out there. Well there was a beauty of an 1899 O barber dime which I felt was way under priced so I snagged it along with a couple other coins. I got it home and took some pics, like always, and low and behold turns out it is the much sought after O/O. Kapow! So an under priced coin was vastly under priced. I would call the coin either high XF or low AU.
WTG BQ , you're having a good year . 1st that 42/1 Mercury dime and now the Barber . Looks like you're due for one more .
I don't know that there are established prices for these. I couldn't find any in Heritage and the only example I've seen a price for was a VF25 that sold on ebay in a pcgs coat for $185.
There are no established prices, nor listing of values for them And you already know my opinion of the piece.
