No other member would believe would be part of your collection.... For the most part we all know each others interest.... pull something out of the hat that will amaze your fellow members...and show another side of the madness of collecting. This should be fun...so dig out that side that we no not know....and show us all .... that side of your Numastics interest.
I have had an interest sparked in these 14,15,16 century's hammered coins. I must admit not my most favorite part of history to study. But must admit more and more looking at Yet another fork in the road.
I have a set of three of these. Back in the 1990’s my young son spent two weekends sweeping floors at a flea market to buy them for me for Father’s Day. They are phony as a three dollar bill and I love them…. To this day my son doesn’t know they are fake!
Who doesn't have a Coin Die? The minting process of (modern) coins is very fascinating. I loved visiting the Philadelphia Mint and seeing everything involved. Here is a defaced 10C Die from my collection
I grew up on Star Wars. Although I am not a fan of colorized coins in general I do have a small group of Star Wars related stuff. Hope this doesn't get me kicked off.
Yeah I saw one similar years ago on ebay.... a piece that was in an estate sale. The owner closed the auction as he figured out just how cool it was.. as his relative was an agent in China....durring the war years. And it was used to sneak micro film and other items.
I have this 1977 Olympic Ruble. I know nothing about it and it doesn't fit in anywhere in my collection. I don't even collect Russian coins, I don't even know why I bought it.
This first one isn’t completely crazy but doesn’t really fit. Yes, it is wood. But this next one, I really have nothing to say other than it took me a while to find.
Two side hobbies... 1. Beatles memorabilia...and you people just THINK coins are expensive. LOL 2. Ice cream wrappers. (yes, it's really a thing) Something that ties all three collections together.
