what causes this color difference?

    I have 2 seemingly exact same pennies.. but one is turning a copper look even though its not copper because it sticks to a magnet just like the steel one does. 2013-11-17 06.14.37.png

    looks like rust on the left. 1943's are zinc covered steel.

    They are both steel cents. One is simply corroding more rapidly than the other.
