Good Evening all, Hope all is well. Sharing this one, on todays find. Can you help me determine grade based on images, and maybe value. This one made my evening today
With all things considered, you're probably safest with calling it a straight G. Value wise, all depends on the buyer and venue. Similar coins selling for upwards of $5 is not unheard of in certain settings and because of the novelty factor, but this is uncommon. Generally speaking, late date IHCs in this grade are beyond plentiful and bring very little money when sold to collectors. While it is a very cool "find", it does not have much value; somewhere around $1.00 give/take is a fair and reasonable retail estimate.
Thank you non_cent for your prompt respond. Sounds great, funny how i found this one. Doing some demolition work, knocking down an exterior wall from an old apartment building that was built in in the late 17 to 1800 and here i look down picking up dibri and here it was staring at me, along with a set of glass bottles (shakers) with logo of the manufacture, it turns out it was a company name(d) Hazel Atlas a company founded in the 1800's who made them. turns out now they are historical pieces..
Coin dosent have much value but the story is the cool part can you post some images of the shakers ?? i would be interested to see them!
thank you for the reminder, yes it does have a good story. this is the image of the shaker. When you have a minute goole it.Thought be cool stories Hazel Atlas:
