i ship coins from home with usps and i have usps pick up the packages at no extra cost from my home. i pay at least $5.05 per each package for flat rate priority mail. when i check online for the lowest price it shows $2.07 for a 3 ounce package, however, it says that the $2.07 option is not avalible for online. does anybody know if there is any way that i can get the $2.07 per package price with usps online and have those packages picked up from my home by usps? any info. would be helpful.

If you're selling through eBay, they provide a discounted 3 oz. option ($1.69 I believe, from $2.07).

If you're not selling through eBay but have a Paypal account, you can use www.paypal.com/shipnow and send first class mail. The USPS website itself doesn't provide any first-class mail online options—the cheapest you can buy online is priority. I'm pretty sure they only pick up if you're paying for priority or higher. It's not really worth their time to make a special trip for a $2 package.

Well if you use Paypal shipping you can ship items first class and pay for your postage online via Paypal. Then you can simply put them in your mailbox for your mailman to pickup when they deliver the mail each day. Although they won't make a special trip just to pick things up from you using this method.

Not sure if this is true for pickup, but ordinary shipping from your home must be less than 13 ounces. I make a mailer from two file folders, works very well for coins (but not for slabbed), seldom over $1.25 - seems to get there about as fast as Priority.
