Doubled die or shelf doubling Capped Bust Half?

    Not sure what I have here. It's an O-101, not uncommon, but I've never seen an O-101 like this! DSCN0590.JPG DSCN0591.JPG DSCN0592.JPG DSCN0593.JPG There is also some doubling in the reverse letters.

    I don't think it's a Doubled Die . In Fulds book it says there might be slight traces of recutting in the numerals , but that's more than slight traces . Good question and a nice 101 .

    Yes. I've seen a lot of bust halves, but never this before! Hopefully more opinions will come in.

    Appears to be recutting on the date to me. More extreme than I have seen on an O-101 . ...Peculiar
