    They are selling copper cents from 3-5x at most auctions in central NY.

    You could just hang on to them until the penny is done away with and/or the law changes about melting down pennies for copper content. Then you'd have probably about 3x face value worth of copper :)

    But in the time it takes that to happen you are losing more money due to inflation.
