Well I got a nice little stash of Celtic coins from Mrs Orc for Xmas unfortunatly some are a bit to dark to scan well (I did try LOL) so here are those that I managed to do The 1st 2 are Cunobelin Celtic Warrior Head & Warrior on Horseback Duro Thunderbolt Reverse is blank De Orc
Steve, which tribes are the Ancient British coins from? I think that you have spelt the name of Queen Boudicca's tribe wrongly. It is Iceni. Aidan.
Aiden I sugest that you take it up with Chris Rudd as that is how it is spelt on his discrcription Sorry Ben no LOL and I am not sure your Mrs would like it LOL De Orc
Steve,I am basing the spelling on what is described in the Spink catalogue of coins of England & the U.K. Are you familiar with this book? Aidan.
What's the point ? It is well known that Brits spell many words differently than we do in the USA. Just chalk it up to differences in cultures and let it go at that.
Those are really great mr. D.!!!! I love celtic coins and have a few of the potins from various French tribes. Mrs. De Orc is a shining example of womanhood if you ask me.
Ilirgates Head & Horseman is outstanding...I dont have any celtic coins either...dont know much about them...thanks for showing these.
Brian, Here are a couple of French Tribes ones. It's interesting to note that both coins have fleur-de-lis in the design so I guess they're encoded into the French DNA since it's still their national symbol after 2,100 years. (The fleur-de-lis on the left coin is growing from the ground below the belly of the stylized boar, that thing that looks like a salamander)
MikJo once again I take my hat off to you (or would if I wore one LOL) they are superb  Could you please send me instuctions on how to make those wonderful holders that you use De Orc :thumb:
Thanks D. I've been asked this question here so many times that I'll just give you the link to the last time.Hopefully it will help. http://www.cointalk.org/showthread.php?t=18261
Silly question perhaps....but are these holders 79 cents each or 79 cents per box of 25? I'm impressed with the way you've set out your collection and i've been looking for alternatives to the card 2x2's and unpolymerised flips i've been using.
I thought that the way they were listed was too good to be true My main problem is the additional costs (postage/ value added tax etcetera) in getting them over to my side of the pond. I need to check to see if there is a supplier in the UK.
