2001 $1 dollar bills?

Today at work I saw two 2001 $1 bills. I have never seen a dollar bill from that year before and when I searched on ebay and I only see 2 listings of them. Are they rare? I thought about taking them home but they looked like coffee was spilled on them at one point. I'm just curious because i've never seen a 2001 $1 bill before.

im pretty shore that i have seen a few. i havent seen any 2005's or 2008 but dates like 2003 2006 and 2009 are pretty common

 

You haven't seen them because the BEP didn't print any 2005's or 2008's.
