1957 D machine double or DDO Lincoln's face and date

    I bought this coin from the son of the owner at an estate sale. It looks interesting but need some learned opinions as to the doubling. The face doubling looks shelf like but the date looks to be true double die doubling. Thoughts, opinions are very appreciated.

    I hope the image is good enough. Its the best I can do with my iphone s4...or is there a way to upload an app? Suggestions.....

    started collecting only a couple of years ago but have most of the 1972 Lincoln Memorial DDO's I have die 1 in MS 67.....

    Did you seriously just edit his photo to make it look like a doubled die, and then tell him to go sell it on ebay? I guess I kind of get the humor behind it if it was a one time occurrence, but repeatedly giving misinformation to beginner collectors that may not know the exact way to tell a doubled die from other forms of doubling isn't cool...

    Does your camera have a macro setting? It may help in taking a better image if you use that setting if you have it.
