    I used to have a cat that collected large cents and colonials. When I brought coins home he would examine them and swat most of them off the table onto the floor, but not large cents or colonials. Those he would pick up and carry off to where ever he kept them if I didn't put them away immediately. (I never did find where he kept them.) Only way I'd get them back was because he liked carrying them around. So a couple weeks later I'd see him walking across the living room carrying one and I'd have to chase him down and recover it. He didn't like Lincolns though. Those he would carry out to the kitchen and bury in the houseplants.

    Here's my cat (now deceased) 'helping' me sort coins. At 17 he was more interested in sleeping than anything else, but stayed awake for this picture.
