Let's say you get hit by the Google map Street view car and they want to settle out of court. Larry Page is in a funny mood or drunk and offers you a single coin of your choosing if you will just leave him alone.

What would you pick and why?

I would want the 1794 Flowing Hair pictured on this book.
but I doubt the owner would sell it to Larry to give to me :(

anyways I'm not really into suing people

To pick just one coin would be almost impossible , there are just so many great coins to choose . The Contursi dollar posted above would be high on my list as would the 1794 half dollar and Draped bust halves or any 1796 Draped bust small eagle quarter , dimes and 1/2 dimes . lol

Ah. I'm having a vision... someone will come to this thread and tell us all about how this exact scenario once happened to him and he was given an eleven cent piece valued at $14 million....

$14 Million? There's an 11 cent coin on eBay right now and it's only at ~$393 right now.... You could get a real "bargain"... LOL

For me, that's no-brainer, and it's not even one of the stratosphere coins. I'd go for a mint state 1916-d dime.

I'd love to own the US dollar depicted above or possibly an incredibly rare & beautiful Tetradrachm of ancient Sicily. However, I doubt I could ever bring myself to ever part with either of those coins.

I believe that there was a 1,000 kg gold coin made in Canada. I'll take the 1,000 kg of gold. I could easily part with that coin & live well for a while I think.
