1853 half cent

    I traded a Morgan that was basically worth melt torn up a lot for this. I was wondering if I did good what is the value[​IMG]

    Yes! You did a very good job! This is a pretty nice coin and the cleaning isn't really that evident. It might actually be a VF Coin. Someone graded it pretty conservatively.

    GREYSHEET BID is at $60.00 at VG and $70.00 at XF, so a pretty tight range. I'd say about $60.00 though!

    VF, cleaned. I would say maybe a $40-50 coin. You didn't do too bad in the trade.

    I agree, I think you did very well, I'd trade a cull Morgan for it any day of the week. As long as the blurry obverse photo isn't hiding any flaws, it appears to be a very nice coin. I think $50 sounds about right on eBay.

    If it's truly cleaned (an honest seller!!!) then you made an even swap.
    Most cleaned coins should sell for under 20% of catalog.
