1836 large cent rim cuds

    I think this is the N-6. The left one looks like a rim ding but the right one is indicative of the N-6. Maybe I'm wrong, though.

    It is hard to tell but if there is a small dent like BB hole in the edge then it will also cause the Cud look alike. Unfortunately there is no way of knowing without inspecting the edge.

    It is N-6, the cud at star 8 confirms that. In the late die state it develops a small rim cud at star 4 which does not seem to be present on this coin. If a cud did develop at star 5 it would have to come after the cud at star 4. This would tend to indicate that that is rim damage at star 5 and not a cud.
