Warning, another completely non-numismatic post but on the subject of animals...this happened earlier today. Mobile Goat. Random roaming livestock is not unusual where I live, but not in my neighborhood. On my street, a parked pickup with an utterly adorable goat tied up in back. I got out of the car to take a picture. I swear the goat was smiling at me and wagging its little goaty tail. Wrong. It was scared silly and freaked when I approached, panicked. It leapt out of the truck. OH NO! Short rope!! Dropping the phone I ran around the back, wondering if I was strong enough to un-hang the heavy animal. Poor little goat! Visions of an angry owner screaming at me for killing his goat. Crisis averted. The rope was just long enough to allow the goat to jump in and out of the truck bed. Mobile grazing. Very innovative
As I look at the coins in my collection that I like, I discover more and more that sound metal is #1 and good surfaces a close second. Style is next and then probably full legends. Wear is way down my list. I have long known that I prefer a fine with good bones to a textured EF.
Not quite the lines I was thinking along, but you guys are hilarious. Z., or Togate Pig-Elephant (with slightly rough surfaces and delusions of moderation)
