    Hello All,

First off, thanks in advance for viewing my post and any responses. Feel bad just jumping on a board and asking questions without being part of the community. Anyhow, do you see any worth in the attached photos of a $20 bill I have been holding onto for a while now.

    Year- 1996
    Bill - $20
Looks like the seal, shinny 20 and serials were all printed in the right location but then the dark ink in the wrong location, causing the cut to look off. Same applies to both sides.

    Thanks again,

    Tom

    Welcome to CT, Tom!
Nice catch. A keeper for sure.
I really don't know what kind of premium it would carry, but I'm sure it's worth more than face.

Good find. The sheet was improperly aligned when the front and back were printed. The third print, which consists of the seal and serial numbers is actually in the correct position.

Very nice! Get it in a holder asap to minimize any further damage...

Thanks guys. I have had this bill since 98' sitting in a safe. I was going through it the other day and figured maybe I should see if this thing is rare or not. If anything it is worth the $20 dollars as a show piece. Pretty cool to have either way.

Have any idea what something like this might be worth? I think it is a great find but if there is a collector out there that really enjoys something like this, I think they would be able to appreciate it more than me. I have it in a safe, they may want to display/show it off.
I am going to try a coin collector shop. Would like to see this in the hands of someone that will love it.

Realistically, I think $35-45 on a venue like eBay. Maybe you would get lucky and get more, but you could also get unlucky and get FV after fees.
If you were interested enough in the note to join a forum and post pictures, you must have some appreciation for it. Keep it!

Photo. And better to start a new topic then resurrect a 3 1/2 year old thread.
