I bought a handful of these to store my Silver Eagles... Don't laugh, but do they just "snap" together? It seems that way.. and boy-o-boy are the coins exposed to the air with these!

I understand nothing is 'airtight' but these seem to be no better than just letting the coin sit out in the open.... (with protection from physical abuse of course)

    Thoughts?

    are you doing it correctly?
I have some and they snap together pretty tightly

That is part of my question I guess... HOW do you install the coin?

measure ur coin if u can, i believe the 2x2's are for 39mm coins, if ur eagles are a bit larger, gonna be a tight fit. like some silver rounds are closer to 40mm an they dont quite fit the 39mm holders.

The coin should fit properly into the coin slot. If it is wobbly, then the coin is too large.

Oh the Eagles are not too big - they actually move a little in the holder...

Buy some Air-Tites or Lighthouse capsules and be done with it.

They should fit and be happy for many years if you have the correct size for the coin.
