My local dealer in town sells his proof and mint sets at greysheet asking prices, and I was wondering if this is considered to be a good deal or just average prices.

    Thanks!

At shows I get Mint sets at BID---but most of the time my dealer buys at BID or alittle below and sells at ASK.

Buying at ask is very fair. Most dealers try to buy at or below bid. And, lets face it, they (and all of us) have to make a living.
If they did not make a profit, how would they pay for their rent, electric, taxes, etc. (Not to mention food and little things like that).
Sure we all want to buy at bid, but the dealer still has to make a profit.
Personally, I prefer to buy below bid, but that will only happen when the dealer got a good buy and then we both make out.
